What Happens When You Get Darren Aronofsky To Create Anti-Meth Adverts?

Darren Aronofsky, director of Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream, has undeniable talent. So naturally when The Meth Project commissioned him to create a series of advertisements for them, he created compelling views into the dangers of meth addiction. The series of four adverts known as “Desperate,” “Deep End,” “ER,” and “Losing Control” feature teens in different disturbing meth-induced situations. The theme that runs through each ad is the idea of “If I had asked…” in which each teen reflects back on the decisions they made. The campaign itself took an entirely new direction in which its mission is to arm kids with the necessary information to truly understand the dangers of using meth. Aronofsky did an incredible job. These ads are beautiful, disturbing, and heart breaking. Each reflects the consequences of using this drug, not just physically but emotionally and mentally. What do you think of them?

Powerful stuff, hoping they have a powerful impact.

Wow! Definitely powerful. I’m sure that this viral campaign will leave an impact on its viewers. Unfortunately, for many, it’s too late
