With close to one billion users worldwide, companies, campaigns, organizations and even small businesses see Facebook as an impossible resource to ignore. There have been several campaigns that utilize social media as a means to reach their specific, and often youthful, audience.

The Israel Anti-Drug Authority and their agency, McCann Erickson, have created an advertisement that will surely have an impact on many young people. The ad features a fictional male user’s timeline that is split between his life with and without drugs.

With the majority of lives publicized for everyone to see, it’s almost shocking to see how drastically someone’s life would look a year with, and a year without drug use. There is a real intimacy about this ad. Despite the ad featuring a fictional character, it is still incredibly relatable.
