Since 2007, artists JanLeonardo Wöllert and Jörg Miedza have been creating LAPP art under the pseudonym LAPP-PRO. LAPP, which stands for Light Art Performance Photography, is a form of “light painting” in which an artist uses long exposure photography to capture light movements that resemble the strokes of a paintbrush. Going beyond traditional light art, Wöllert and Miedza seek to capture the actual performance of their work, acknowledging the art of the process as well as the result.
